Sustainable Management
In 2025, Perfect Medical established the Sustainability Committee, with Vice President Shun-Jie Hsu serving as the Head of Sustainable Operations, coordinating internal departments to implement sustainability initiatives. An ESG Execution Taskforce was also set up to conduct sustainability risk assessments based on the materiality principle. The Board of Directors regularly supervises the company's ESG major issues and sustainability progress, including the annual submission of the Sustainability Report and the Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction Policy. The Board ensures the quality and timeliness of sustainability-related disclosures and may review implementation effectiveness and provide policy guidance to achieve corporate sustainability.
- On the environmental aspect, energy and greenhouse gas management are key risk assessment items. ISO 14064 greenhouse gas emissions audits are conducted, and annual environmental sustainability action plans are implemented, including energy conservation and carbon reduction, water resource saving, waste reduction, and incorporating greenhouse gas considerations into environmental planning.
- On the social aspect, talent attraction and retention are key evaluation items. Regular labor-management meetings are held to monitor workforce mobility. Management systems are established based on labor laws and human rights policies, complemented by comprehensive welfare measures and incentive mechanisms to protect employee rights and attract and retain high-quality talent.
- On the corporate governance aspect, major issues include integrity, legal compliance, and product responsibility. A Board-centric governance structure is established, supported by functional committees and internal audit units to implement the company’s Corporate Governance Best Practices. Product responsibility is structured under the ISO 13485 medical device quality management system, with quality management policies and reliable quality control mechanisms in place.
Notes:
- To achieve the company's sustainability goals and strengthen sustainable governance, the “Sustainability Committee” was planned to be established in June 2025. To ensure smooth promotion of sustainability initiatives, the Board of Directors appointed Vice President Shun-Jie Hsu as the Head of Sustainable Operations (Convener) on March 13, 2025, who then formed the ESG Execution Taskforce.
- The taskforce is divided into six subgroups: Human Resources, Corporate Governance, Environmental Sustainability, Product & Service, Social Engagement, and Risk Management. Upon approval, the ESG Execution Taskforce was established to drive ESG initiatives.
